of thewastewater treatment
unit, with the goal of
enhancing thequality
and filtrationof the re-
injectedwastewater. These
modifications are expected
tobe commissionedby
October 2012, and are
expected to improve
significantly thequality of
the re-injectedwater – in
particular its total suspended
solids (TSS) andoil inwater
(OIW) characteristics.
DolphinEnergy is also
conducting an engineering
study to explore the
feasibility of segregating the
offshoreproductionwater
and the onshoreprocess
water, which are currently
treated commingled in
the sour water treatment
facilities, and selecting
a suitableprocess to
remove theKineticHydrate
Inhibitor (KHI) from the
offshoreproductionwater.
If this scheme is feasible,
it should allow recycling
most of these two streams
as either irrigationwater or
desalinatedwater.
