Condensate
Low sulfur condensate is an ultra-
light formof oil that is a valuable
by-product of DolphinEnergy’s raw
gas production andprocessing.
The averagedaily production
amounts tobetween 90,000 and
100,000barrels of condensate. In
2008, DolphinEnergy awarded a
USD 212million contract todouble
the capacity of Qatar’s low sulfur
condensate storage facilities
LiquefiedPetroleum
Gas (LPG)
The liquefiedpetroleumgases
propane andbutane are valuable
by-products of DolphinEnergy’s
gas processing facilities at Ras
Laffan. DolphinEnergy produces
1,322 kt of LPGon average
annually. Propane andButane
are used as fuel for industrial,
domestic, automotive and
agricultural processes
worldwide, aswell as in
petrochemicals production.
Butane also has specialized uses
ingasolineblending.
Ethane
Ethane is extractedduringgas
processing. The average annual
productionof ethane since 2008
is 407Kt. Ethane is utilized as
feedstock for the ethane cracker
of theRas LaffanOlefinCompany
inQatar.
Sulfur
Sulfur has tobe extracted from the
raw natural gas duringprocessing
to complywith international
environmental standards.
DolphinEnergy’s average annual
productionof sulfur since 2008 is
243Kt. Sulfur is soldworldwide
and is largely used in the
productionof fertilizers.
