When theCode of BusinessConduct states that, “Dolphin
is committed to the highest standards of legal and ethical
conduct in its business dealings and complieswith all
applicable laws, regulations and codeswherever it conducts
business,” it is true. Here’s an example. Thematter relates to
the supply of industrial valves during theperiod2003-2007
by one of our suppliers, and allegations that it was able to
bribe officials at different companies indifferent countries.
DolphinEnergy carriedout an internal investigation and
then hired an external law firm to conduct an independent
investigation. Both investigations found no evidence of
wrongdoingbyDolphinEnergy. As our General Managers said
at the time, “DolphinEnergy takes such allegations extremely
seriously and is committed to conducting its business in strict
compliancewith itsCode of BusinessConduct”. Setting the
right tone sends the rightmessage, as does the creationof a
dedicated compliance capability.
