ThesourceandoriginofDolphinEnergy’sprocuredgoodsandservices
necessary for operations isnot restricted tospecificgeographicareas;
any technically-competent local vendor is invited toparticipate in the
tender process for thesupplyof servicesandmaterials. Inorder to
support local sourcing,DolphinEnergydoes require that all contracting
partiesbe registeredat the local Chamber ofCommerceandpossess
registrationwith localmunicipalitiesuponwinningabid. Local sourcing is
oneof thedecision-making factorswhereappropriate.DolphinEnergy is
currently reviewingprocurement practices inorder tobetter determine the
percentageof procurement spent on local suppliers.More informationon
local procurement canbe found inChapter 10: “Contractor andSupplier
RelationsandPractices”.
DolphinEnergy’sprocessingandproduction facilities in theUAEandQatar
are locatedwithindesignated industrial zones. Asoneof several operators,
annual financial contributionsaremade through land leaseagreements
andcommunal serviceproviders toassist thedevelopment of the requisite
infrastructureandutilities for the industrial complexes.
