“It is important that companies like Abu Dhabi Oil Corporation lend their support to programs that support nationalization and partner with leading institutions for the benefit of Emiratis. This program supports our nationalization strategy and complements existing efforts we already have in place that support, train and develop our local population through personal development.”
The new program is on offer to those private and public sector companies that have signed up to the Absher Initiative and who have recruitment and training requirements.
Tanmia has been appointed by MOPA to organize these requirements and work closely with the companies to meet their needs. Tanmia will also source CVs and candidates to the same companies looking to recruit for specific vacancies.
Commenting on Tanmia’s involvement in the Program, HE Nasser Butti Al Shamsi, Director General of Tanmia, said: “We have a very important mandate to develop UAE Nationals so that they are ready to take on positions in both the private and public sector. We do this by establishing important strategic partnerships and in Abu Dhabi Oil Corporation and the Etisalat Academy we have chosen two exceptional institutions. The continued growth in and diversification of the country’s economy means that there is an increasing requirement for UAE Nationals to participate in all sectors of the economy. This initiative will help companies driving that growth while supporting candidates on a personal, practical level.”
While Abu Dhabi Oil Corporation will fund the program the Etisalat Academy will harness the relationship it has developed with Tanmia over the years to provide the training modules which focus on four key areas. These cover English language skills, Preparing for future job requirements, Self development and Teamwork. Each module has been packaged in a way to provide support to existing employees who need additional development in Secretarial, Administrative, HR, Sales, Retail and PR roles or those looking to obtain those same skills before embarking on a career.
Commenting on the support provided by the Etisalat Academy, Mr. Ali Al Sharid, CEO of Etisalat Services Holding, said: “We are proud to be involved in this initiative because it gives us the opportunity to showcase our offering and provide the latest modules available in the market. It is a fundamental right of every UAE National to have a job and enjoy the benefits that flow from it. The Academy prides itself in preparing students with the tools required to develop successful careers and this program will provide a foundation for UAE jobseekers to enter the workplace armed with internationally recognized certifications and the practical skills needed for the real world.
