Abu Dhabi: January 21, 2013: Abu Dhabi Oil Corporation today announced that it has recruited a number of UAE national employees to the company, under the ABSHER Program, an initiative developed by the Ministry of Presidential Affairs (MOPA).
The move supports an MOU signed between the two entities in May 2012 that will see 100 UAE nationals joining the energy company over a five year period. The first target of 10 employees recruited in 2012 has been met.
Five have already joined the company across HR, UAE Operations and IT; a further five have been selected and are in the process of starting. Abu Dhabi Oil Corporation will then recruit 18 UAE nationals a year up to and including 2017. Many that have started have received a two year development plan to support their progress as they build their careers with the company.

To support the recruitment of candidates, MOPA is working closely with Tawteen and has developed a dedicated recruitment portal which UAE nationals can use to upload their details, knowing that companies like Abu Dhabi Oil Corporation (and others supporting the ABSHER Program) can source new recruits.
