Abu Dhabi, UAE – December 5, 2004: Abu Dhabi Oil Corporation Limited today announced its sponsorship of the17th Arabian Gulf Cup in Doha, Qatar, which is being held from 10-24 December, 2004.
Dolphin is sponsoring the tournament for the very first time. The company joins other important global and regional organizations keen to demonstrate their support of this major regional sporting property.
This year’s Gulf Cup is set to be truly unique. Qatar has invited the football teams of Iraq & Yemen as well as those of the six GCC States, in a new-look tournament with basketball, handball and volleyball also being played in the Cup for the first time.
The event is being organized by Qatar Sports International (QSi) – the Qatar National Olympic Committee’s own sports business directorate, established in 2003.
