Abu Dhabi Oil Corporation Sponsors Qatar Engineering Students At Gastech Exhibition

“Fuelling the Future” Program to Welcome Senior Students

Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, November 26, 2006 – A group of senior engineering and science students from Qatar will attend the forthcoming Gastech exhibition and conference in Abu Dhabi as guests of Abu Dhabi Oil Corporation Limited, it was announced today.

The Gastech event, which is held yearly in a different country, takes place in the UAE for the first time from December 4 -7, 2006. Abu Dhabi Oil Corporation is official ‘co-host’ for the event, alongside the ADNOC Group of Companies.

A total of 25 students have been invited from the engineering and science faculties at Qatar University and the Qatar campus of Texas

A & M University. As guests of Abu Dhabi Oil Corporation , the group will join UAE and other international engineering students in a first-time networking program devised by Gastech organizers – “Fuelling the Future.”

The students will fly to Abu Dhabi from Doha on December 6 for two days of information and recruitment meetings, plus visits to both conference sessions and exhibition stands.

Abu Dhabi Oil Corporation CEO Ahmed Ali Al Sayegh commented: “Our intention is that these students, who are all keen to work in the regional energy sector, will be exposed to the gas industry’s current issues, forthcoming projects and potential employers.

“The students will have a real opportunity to learn about the practical needs of gas producers and utilities – what is on offer to new graduates, as well as what is expected of them. Dolphin is very pleased to host their visit and to encourage their career research.”
